A hot water heater emergency in Ryde
Gregory Mitchell owned one of the nicest resorts in Ryde. He was a hard working man and at 58 years, his investment in the resort had started paying off. He had broken even a couple of years ago and business was alright though nothing amazing. A year back, Greg had put in a heated swimming pool and that had been a big hit with his guests.
But this morning, as Greg stood outside the swimming pool, his mind was filled with anxiety. The supervisor had informed him that the hot water heating in the swimming pool was not working. The water was just lukewarm. They needed a plumber, and fast!
Greg had immediately called his Ryde plumber. The plumber was on his way now, and Greg knew from experience that the plumber was really good. He had taken pains to select the best plumbers in Ryde so he could have plumbing problems taken care of by an expert. These plumbers had the reputation of being the best in Ryde. They were even called out to Denistone, Meadow Bank, Gladesville and Putney, besides different parts of Ryde.
Greg could see the plumber driving up now. The plumber had come prepared with all the necessary tools. After a detailed inspection, they realized that there were two problems. That the heating was not working was true. But, it was also true that whatever little hot water was coming in was leaking. There was a leak somewhere in the pool!
Greg was becoming more anxious about the mounting expenses and the amount of work involved.
The plumber from Ryde started working on the solar heater panel. There was a defective connection and he had the problem solved in a little over half an hour.
Meanwhile, they had also identified the source of the leak. The plumber waited while the swimming pool contractor came and fixed the leak. Greg liked this because he was not the type who could follow things like this too closely. Having an expert at hand meant that the work was done nicely.
After the work was done, they filled the pool with hot water system to half capacity so that the freshly sealed crack would get time to set. The heater was working perfectly and there was enough hot water. Greg breathed a sigh of relief. The swimming pool contractor told him that he could let in water after 24 hours. That meant he could have the swimming pool ready for the big group of guests who would be flying in to attend the local wedding tomorrow.
